If the history of punk rock be writ like a sponge, Seattle’s Trash Sound Conglomerate is the excess squeezed from its soggy corpse. The collective, individually known as Kat Trash (Guitar), Bogie (Drums and Cymbals), and Gwen Static (Bass) shares the collective burden of songwriting duties. The trio rips through a genre-bending range that references power-pop, hardcore, and thrash. Since 2021, T.S.C. has released two EPs, two singles, and a full-length album, with their second full-length, Sophomore Slump, forthcoming. There is no lead singer in T.S.C., the three pass the microphone between them. If they ever forgot their on-stage dinosaur, that’s not the real T.S.C.
